－What You Can Expect－

．Shifen Waterfall

The gush of the curtain like waterfall is just like the thousand army and their horses proceeding into a battle. Situated in Pingxi, New Taipei City, the silk looking waterfall falls into a deep pool of water, where water vapor from the splash forms a beautiful rainbow beneath the clear skies above, gaining the name, “Rainbow Pond”. However, since the rocky formation slopes in an opposite direction to the water, it creates a cascading waterfall similar to the Niagra falls, thus also called “ Taiwan’s Niagra falls”.

．Shifen Old Street

The historical settlement of Pingxi lends its uniqueness to its coexistence of historical streets and train tracks. Here trains will pass through your doorsteps. Although the coalmine is no longer in use, the streets are still vibrant with restaurants and stores selling sky lanterns. There are also stores that sell “Shifen Xinfu” post cards, which you can send to your future self.
